Full time DMS Instructor including Didactic and Lab education.Past instructor of Foundations of Sonography, and Superficial Structures. Current instructor of Physics of Sonography, and Vascular Sonography.Job role entails didactic as well as hands on lab instructing.Assist with interviewing applicants of the DMS program.Provide tutoring for didactic information as well as lab protocols.

Staff Sonographer. Perform diagnostic exams such as Abdomen, Pelvic, Small Parts including Breast, OB/GYN, occasional Pediatric studies.Consistently perform Vascular examinations such as Upper and Lower Extremity Arterial Duplex, Upper and Lower Extremity Venous Duplex, Segmental/ABI exams, Carotid Duplex, AV Fistula evaluation, Aorta/Iliac Duplex, Renal Artery Duplex, Vein Mapping, and assist Vascular Surgeon with Ultrasound during Angiography procedures.Assist with procedural exams such as Thoracentesis, Paracentesis, Aspirations, Thrombin injections, Breast Biopsies/Localizations, Vascular intervention.Care for patients from Outpatient scheduling, Emergency Department, and In-Patients.Work independently, make critical decisions, work on call hours, provide quality diagnostic exams.Assist in training/mentoring newly hired staff Sonographers."Near Miss" award for discovering significant Subclavian Vein Thrombosis on 16 year old patient with sudden arm swelling when an Arterial Duplex was exam was originally ordered, reporting my finding, and getting the proper examination ordered to care for the patient. This lead to her getting a CT scan of her chest which showed multiple pulmonary emboli, and her being transferred to All Children's Hospital for proper treatment and care.

Staff Sonographer at outpatient facility. Performed diagnostic exams such as Abdomen, Pelvic, Small Parts, OB/GYN, occasional Pediatric studies.Consistently performed dense breast screening ultrasounds as well as targeted exams due to pain, lumps, and Category zero exams after mammography. Consistently performed Vascular examinations such as Upper and Lower Extremity Arterial Duplex, Upper and Lower Extremity Venous Duplex, Carotid Duplex, Aorta/Iliac Duplex, and Renal Artery Duplex.Worked closely with Radiologists and assisted during Venous Ablations, Stab Phlebectomies, and Sclerotherapy. Prepared Ultrasound room for procedures, made sure supplies were never expired and always in stock, explained exam to patients and supported them during their procedures, cleaned room and procedural supplies once exam was complete. Helped patients put post procedure compression stockings on, and made sure patients understood their aftercare instructions when procedure was complete. Performed pre procedural Venous Duplex examinations, as well as post procedural Venous examinations to ensure of Venous closure success and lack of Venous Thrombus propagation into the Deep Venous System.Worked closely with Radiologists during biopsies. Communicated with, and worked as a team with Radiologists during Breast screening ultrasounds and target exams to ensure proper care of patient via their imaging. Assisted with Thyroid biopsies.
