Discovering my passion for data analysis was an unexpected journey. It was during Google's data analytics course that I realised my profound curiosity for understanding data extended far beyond the classroom. What began as a skill I casually mentioned on my job applications evolved into a deep interest that I couldn't ignore. As I delved into the course content, I found myself fascinated by these lessons and determined to pivot my career towards data analytics.My academic background in classical Chinese literature, highlighted by a Distinction from SOAS University of London, might seem disconnected from data analysis. However, the skills I developed — efficient research methods, critical analysis, trend identification — have proven to be remarkably transferable. From dissecting the imagery of tea in Su Shi's poems to uncovering insights from datasets, my ability to extract meaning from complex information remains at the core of my journey.In addition to my academic achievements, my experience as a collaborator and leader within the SOAS Taiwan Society has further refined my communication and interpersonal skills. As a multilingual speaker of Mandarin, Taiwanese Hokkien, English, and Japanese, I can engage across cultures and contexts seamlessly.With my sights set on a dynamic role in data analysis, I am excited to contribute my rare blend of analytical thinking, diverse perspectives, and a relentless pursuit of excellence.
