My work ranges from fulfilling the role of Neighborhood Association Liaison to participating with a group of Community Based Organizations and governmental entities to support children's success in North Fair Oaks/Redwood City. I also set up a community COVID-19 test site in September 2020 in collaboration with the RWC Fire Department and San Mateo County. Silicon Valley Clean Water (SVCW), a wastewater public agency, hired Redwood City's Communications Team to provide all communications services. I am a Communications Consultant for SVCW and most recently completed the creation of their new website. Below are more specific responsibilities in my workday. - Manage the City, SVCW and SVCW-RESCU websites- Manage, plan and write campaigns for all City social media platforms {Facebook, Instagram, LinkedIn, Twitter and Nextdoor}, and both SVCW social media platforms- Track and analyze trends for all City and SVCW communications platforms {Social media, websites, blog, email campaigns}- Plan the Community Building Academy, which is a 7-week course for residents to learn about the Redwood City city government- Write articles for local magazines, the City blog, resident newsletters, press releases and social media- Copy edit content for publication from City and SVCW staff- Collaborate with staff in all departments and levels to create applicable content for public consumption- Create graphics to accompany web pages, social media, newsletters and other City publicationsDuring the transition period after the previous communications manager left and prior to the new manager starting (August 2019 - January 2020), I served as the unofficial interim communications manager where I oversaw the Communications Division including two consultants and one intern.
