She is proficient in Chinese. Colleagues describe her as "I was incredibly lucky to have Amanda as an instructor during my two weeks at the 2020 Kode With Klossy virtual web development camp. Throughout the entire program, we ran into all sorts of technical difficulties, from experiencing bugs in our code to encountering problems in the IDE we used, yet she was always flawless in handling the issues and quick to find a solution. Every morning, Amanda brought so much spirit and humor into our Zoom meetings with her smiles and jokes that by the end of camp, she had helped our community of girls foster a bond like no other, despite never having seen each other in person. Additionally, Amanda acted as a role model to all of us young and aspiring girls in computer science, having little to no prior experience in coding, but being able to teach us the skills to build a functional website. At the end of my two weeks, I not only discovered a newfound passion for design and technology, but I have been able to transfer these skills I have learned through the Kode With Klossy program to my own Girls Who Code club at school, teaching other girls how to code their own websites.
