I was brought onto the Gracenote development team to rebuild the Gracenote Showcase application from scratch. The Showcase demonstrates Gracenote’s expansive movie, TV, and music databases and is an important part of the company’s annual presentation at CES. I was given complete control over the project and eventually worked as a tech lead when we brought on additional developers in the weeks leading up to CES 2016. Currently I maintain the site and work with a team of designers and developers to brainstorm new and useful functionality.Accomplishments and responsibilities:• Built the Gracenote Showcase OnConnect Application from scratch on a Nodejs platform, using the React Javascript framework. • Created the Video On Demand Gracenote Application using the Nodejs platform, React framework, and the Parse SDK.• Continually updated both the VOD Guide and the Showcase App with new functionality and deeper interactions with the Gracenote OnConnect and Baseline APIs. • Participated in the Agile process to manage task flow and stage/production releases of the products.
