At Loma Linda University Medical Center I provide services in both inpatient and outpatient. I teach and heal patients through a compassionate and holistic approach to promote well-being through recovery. I maximize patient rehab potential through individualized treatment plans. In addition, I promote health education and sustainability through home exercise programs and family training.

Community Care on Palm is skilled nursing facility where I plan treatments for mental health conditions such as schizophrenia and bipolar in older adults. I Instruct staff on individualized treatments such as proper positioning and splint schedule for continuous care. In addition, I supervise COTAs to follow through with a plan of care for progression of rehabilitation.

The Springs Healthcare Center is a skilled nursing facility where I work with older adults who have debilitating arthritic conditions, stroke, dementia, cancer, and other various diagnoses that cause difficulty with bathing, dressing, toileting, and other self care tasks. I evaluate and treat patients to increase their functional performance by helping them to adapt to their social and physical environment through education and health promotion to master tasks essential for activities of daily living to increase independence and quality of life.

At Casa Colina Hospital I assess neurological conditions such as stroke, TBI, and SCI to identify capabilities and develop a customized plan of care. I involve family through training in preparation for a safe discharge home. In addition, I outline customized intervention plans for one on one mentor sessions for constructive feedback to ensure optimal rehabilitation.

Country Villa Hacienda Health is a skilled nursing facility that offers personalized care. As an occupational therapist, I evaluated functional abilities of patients through chart review, observation, interviews, and testing. I also implemented individualized treatment and educational plans to maximize functional potential. Consultation with the medical team and health professionals occur regularly to develop a comprehensive plan of treatment.

My level IIB fieldwork was completed at High Five Hand Therapy. It is an outpatient clinic with specialization in hand therapy and instrument-assisted soft tissue mobilization (IASTM). As a private practice I was able to interact with various insurance companies, schedule patients, and handle finances. I also treated teens through older adults with various conditions such as frozen shoulder, carpal tunnel, trigger finger, tendon repairs, dupuytren's contracture and much more. I performed evaluations and treatments while utilizing fluidotherapy, graston, and customized interventions to achieve client-centered goals.

Palm Terrace Care Center is a skilled nursing facility where I completed my level IIA fieldwork. I was able to conduct chart reviews in order to perform evaluations and individualized interventions in the older adult population. I cared for clients with conditions such as COPD, stroke, dementia, sepsis, cancer, and more. I treated patients with use of electrical stimulation to improve muscle function, meaningful activities to promote quality of life, and activities of daily living to increase independence.

I completed 40 hours of observation at a school based location called East Valley SELPA for one of my level I rotations. I was able to help administer and score standardized assessments with elementary students. I participated in IEP meetings and playground interventions. I also presented the profession of occupational therapy to high school students at the district career fair.

I completed another level I rotation at Essence of Light which is a transitional housing setting for women experiencing mental health conditions, addiction, and other hardships. I worked with clients individually to explore meaningful occupations to develop client-centered goals and positive behavioral change. I also created an evidence based group activity to promote communication and coping strategies.

My first level I rotation was at a skilled nursing facility called Santa Ana Healthcare and Wellness center. I was able to observe and participate in treatments with older adults of various conditions. I was able administer assessments and work alongside various disciplines such as physical therapist, speech therapists, and nurses.

Agendia is a breast cancer diagnostic company. I worked on the marketing team to create informational pieces for both patients and physicians. I helped manage projects and created outreach material in order to better serve our clients. I frequently used adobe applications and am proficient in InDesign and Illustrator.

​As a Service Coordinator at St. Joseph's Health System, I worked along side nurses, therapists, and social workers. I was able to coordinate services for our home health clients, as well as communicate with physicians in order to provide specialized care.

Pediatric Therapy Associates is an outpatient clinic where I completed 100 hours of internship. I was able to process referrals, schedule patients, and observe and participate during treatment sessions. I also researched and updated monthly newsletter material to educate families and the community.

I was a server and trainer at Applebee's for eight years. I would continuously use communication skills with guest to satisfy their needs and achieve an overall satisfying experience. I also maintained my food handlers card and practiced food and sanitary regulations to ensure a clean and safe environment.

I also worked at a private practice called Gonzales Medical Group. I worked at the front desk where I would greet, help, and check in patients. I would also answer phones to help direct the patients needs whether it is to make an appointment, fill prescriptions, or log any symptoms. Furthermore, I would scan and file all documents in accordance with HIPPA regulations for each patient.

​As an intern with the American Lung Association, I presented to the community regarding the benefits of smoke free parks and designed educational materials. I also represented the organization at community events and conducted needs assessments through surveys to better understand the concerns of the residents.

As an intern at Corona-Norco Unified School District, I participated in many health promotion campaigns. I would observe tobacco counseling in high school students and educate staff and teachers through tobacco presentations. I also learned and then implemented a substance abuse resistance program to middle school students to prevent the use of alcohol, tobacco, and other drugs.

During my time as a Peer Health Educator at the CSUSB Student Health center, I helped coordinate various health campaigns to promote and educate students on healthy lifestyle behaviors and habits. In addition, I was the official sponsorship coordinator and responsible for obtaining donations and funds from local and corporate stores to provide students with free health kits.
