I began working with Dairy Girl Network (DGN) right before the organization started an aggressive growth period. As the Interactive Media Lead, I helped the team with social media planning, membership management, secretarial duties and event planning as I finished my degrees at UW-Madison. After graduation and as my time with DGN continued, I now create and manage all social media postings on Facebook and the organization's Instagram, which I created in January 2018. I create, target and administer the organization's Facebook ads as well as crafting and scheduling all emails that are sent to the ever-growing membership of over 2,000 dairywomen. I am the primary staff member responsible for maintaining and updating our Wordpress website and also began a system for tracking all social media analytics. On top of managing DGN media, I am also the primary contact for our Board of Directors and facillitate all communications between the Board and staff. Being the staff lead for our Press Corps program, I work with members and coordinate coverage of events, programs and features for use in our newsletter, social media and our site. I continue to work with membership management, help coordinate events (including a bi-yearly national conference that draws dairywomen from across the country) and help with special projects that team members might have.

I manage all of the GPS social media channels from planning the editorial calendar, creating content/graphics and interacting with clients and companies on GPS's behalf. By creating a social media presence that shares resources, announces company events and delivers tools, I help GPS reach their mission of delivering services to dairy clients in order to help them achieve their most challenging goals. I also manage the business's blog and handle collaboration between the contributors and promotion to inspire change and grow leaders. Another role I fulfill is webmaster as I am the primary website editor. Finally, I assist with marketing of events and special internal projects.

In September 2016, I began a business I had been dreaming about for quite a while. Amanda Mae Media is here to help you tell your story. As a freelance writer, videographer and photographer, I enjoy connecting people with their audiences on an emotional and visual level. From wedding videos to business promotion to technical articles, I work with individuals and businesses to create the media they need.

Creator and manager of the social persona Bob's Bloody Mary Bucket List (BBMBL) on Facebook and Instagram. As the sole contributor, I explore bars and restaurants, taste and rate bloody marys (and similar products) then create engaging and informative content for my followers. I also run an interactive map linking to all of the spots and items I have reviewed. I have created and maintained the BBMBL brand and continue to create content weekly while interacting with my audience.

Co-Founder and contributor for Hype Queens Podcast. This podcast was founded in September 2018 and had been airing new episodes bi-weekly sfrom February 2019 through May 2020. In this podcast, my co-host and myself shared our stories, motivated ourselves and others and built a community of hype queens that support each other. I have experience recording on Yeti mics and editing in Audacity. I also managed our Instagram account (@hypequeenspodcast) and created content, both for visual and audio.

Guides guests through menus, demonstrates thorough knowledge of the food and beverages, takes accurate orders and partners with team member to deliver great food while assisting in tasks to ensure a clean and safe restaurant and providing friendly and attentive service.

Created content and managed company’s Facebook business page, designed and maintained company website, organized and marketed the scholarship program, wrote articles for publication, contributed to video and photo opportunities and helped with special projects.

As an editorial contributor, I conducted interviews and wrote monthly articles for national print and electronic publications on varying technical topics. I also helped conduct radio interviews during World Dairy Expo as well as some farm tours for features.I started in this position as an intern and helped manage social media and the blog, post press releases, record and post show results, manage the show booth and promote publications during World Dairy Expo.

Working for Agri-View I had the opportunity to tell the story of agriculture in the community. I had to find and develop agriculture-based stories, conduct interviews and craft articles of varying lengths, including spotlights, to be printed and hosted online. I edited and compiled contributed photos as well as original photos when available. Finally, I was able to travel for stories when needed and cover events, such as the 4-H Hall of Fame Induction Ceremony.

Created storyboards, coordinated shoots, ran the shoots, edited footage and produced videos of varying lengths and styles. Shot and produced assembly videos, testimonials, advertisements, informationals and walk-arounds. Also took stills. Familiar with Canon DSLRs, GoPros, Ronin stabilizer, DJI Phantom 4 drone and other equipment.

Worked as a lab technician in the Powell lab. Assisted with current and past projects as well as data analysis. Used many different lab machines as well as KCl extractions, NDIN, grinding samples, dry matter and data entry.

As a student hourly, it was my duty to establish a friendly and cleanly environment, work the register, craft coffee drinks, stock, inventory, work the serving line and help with food preparation.

Half of the time spent in milking parlor of the large dairy research farm. Milk and handle cows, clean, calf care and maintenance. Half of the time spent as lab technician. Ran samples on instruments and made stock solutions, weighed samples, other lab work. Specialized in ammonia emissions and tannins.

Assist in marketing for McDonald’s account services, answer phones, organize information regarding profit, prep meetings, work with media, research competition and help organize local events.
