I am a graduate of Auburn University with a bachelor's degree in Poultry Science Production with a minor in Agribusiness Management. I currently produce a podcast called Talk with Tori with the host Tori Jones and was an Intern for the National Poultry Technology Center at Auburn University. While undertaking all of that, I also worked for Jerrica Russaw in the Poultry Science Department assisting with student recruitment.My husband and I (along with our Dog, Cat, and Hamster) currently reside in Opelika, AL. In the past, I worked for Wrapsody Gifts, LLC in Auburn, AL for over 4 years as their Assistant Store Manager. I also worked for the Auburn University Poultry Research Center where I partook in Research Studies helping wing band birds, processing them, and participating in cleaning and sanitation. When I’m not working, I enjoy digitally drawing using the Procreate application or learning about marketing, SEO, and other creative skillsets. I seek jobs and opportunities that allow me to be creative. I tend to gravitate toward jobs and experiences that benefit the community and make a difference. Some of my favorite job experiences have been centered around helping people.Recently, I have taken on the most important role as mom to the sweetest little boy my husband and I welcomed In May of 2022.

I participated as an undergraduate researcher in the NPTC Research and Extension Experience for Undergraduates (REEU). The summer research and extension effort was spent evaluating the accuracy of control system sensors and developing materials to help poultry producers improve their efforts. We were trained in control systems and sensors used in precision animal management technologies. I led the effort to develop a survey to further understand poultry grower’s technology uses and the challenges they face using technology. I had the opportunity to develop a research journal article and poster title: A Survey of Poultry Producers Technology Use and Challenges. I developed an extension article title: NPTC Tools of the Trade: Measuring Air Infiltration. The internship allowed me to develop skills in data collection and analysis, and calibration of sensors.
