Combat Air Engineering and Supply Chain Quality Team.Currently in the role of Senior Quality Engineer whereby I am experienced in managing suppliers of highly specified military aircraft equipment in terms of Quality Performance. I also make quality assurance decisions within my own sphere of responsibility and delegated authority and provide help, assistance and direction on quality assurance matters.

In my current position as a Reliability Engineer, within Typhoon General Systems, one of the primary roles required is a detailed understanding of FRACAS. This involves working with supplier equipment to find root cause of failure and implementation of corrective actions where necessary including training suppliers to have the correct skills to use a FRACA system. This may additionally involve working with other engineering disciplines such as Procurement, Quality, Maintenance and Production. I have an excellent understanding of Teamcenter (PLM), Aquila and Microsoft office suite which included the generation of monthly metrics for management. The role also includes both written and verbal contact with suppliers, within the UK and Europe and regular co-ordination with the various disciplines.

Technical Undergraduate, Manufacturing OfficeMy main achievement was the creation of an excel working file deemed as 'Best Practice' by our parent company, Hamilton Sundstrand, for the implementation of Process Certification. This involved researching a lot of quality documents and adhering to ISO standards. As a team member I was responsible for introducing SPC data collection into designated areas which involved hands-on staff training as well as writing fluent and legible Standard Operating Procedures. I was also the Team leader for the Engineering Education Scheme working with a local school on a technical project. The role demanded strong interpersonal & communication skills at all levels of the business.
