Responsible for a $30M annual spend, driving strategic and operational improvements in the purchasing of various commodities including raw material, machined and electrical components, valves , switches and outside processing. Managed a team of buyers with personal accountability for team KPI’s, centred around supplier selection, vendor quality and adherence to schedule (OTD), PPV / productivity targets, Inventory Management, LTA’s and supplier partnership agreements. Responsible for the preparation and presentation of performance metrics, summarizing supplier performance through vendor scorecards, used to target poor performing suppliers and associated corrective actions. Graphical data included the purchasing team performance focussing around the timely execution of purchase requisitions, effective expediting and shortage management, execution of MRP messages involving scheduling and re-scheduling of inbound supplied components, in order to effectively manage inventory and receipt targets.

Oversaw and streamlined the operations within Logistics, Purchasing and Fleet, (4500 assets, 16 direct reports). Conducted detailed audits and analysis of supplier agreements to ensure accuracy and transparency. Formulated and delivered plan for managing high volume direct materials requirements within the restrictions of a tightly controlled and limited sourcing environment. Key Achievements: Established and implemented the functional core Purchasing and Logistics Department. Led & developed a multi-functional team of purchasing, logistics and fleet professionals providing sound guidance and support on complex issues.  Instituted high-impact policies to maximize returns on investment and optimize overall business performance. Implemented new and streamlined existing purchasing procedures. Drove accurate forecasting and consolidation of direct material needs (cable, hardware, etc.) for various capital “new build” projects throughout eight regions across the nationwide legacy Suddenlink and Optimum footprints. Selected by Senior Management to lead various ad-hoc projects including Oracle MRP cloud base ERP purchase and implementation, fleet optimization and materials management transition into the organization. Sourced and negotiated multiple labor service agreements including standardized rate card negotiations. Supported and directed effective inventory management and control processes in multiple depots nationwide.

Reporting to the SVP of Procurement, performed the role as senior negotiator and leader in the Centralized Corporate Purchasing function. During the transition of ownership to Altice USA, played a key role in managing the change of corporate supply chain strategy. Led various competitive bid projects from initial RFP to contract award and implementation, with the goal of reducing total acquisition cost and streamlining the supply chain. Spearheaded the end-to-end management of these complex process changes. Contributed to the development of company strategy for all areas of procurement to optimize performance and strategic position.Key Achievements: Leaning on persuasion and change management skills, helped transform the traditional “reactive” purchasing and contracts management function, with heavy external business unit influence to an increased “budget and objective driven” centralized corporate Purchasing and Supply Department. This involved the strengthening of relationships with key stakeholders through interactive collaboration in multiple departments. Achieved $12M savings in a 12 Month period via a combination of improved terms including the outsourcing and/or consolidation of security, background check provider, facilities and critical systems maintenance, office supplies and the implementation of a new food service provider in multiple locations. Analyzed and improved terms on multiple legacy software maintenance agreements through a process of consolidation, including negotiations to minimize the cost of early termination or reduction in preventative maintenance of established legacy agreements, resulting in an overall cost savings of greater than $1M annually.  Implemented a directional change in the total supply chain process of cable supply and hardware supporting multiple internal locations yielding an additional savings of >$400K annually. This included managing the transition to the alternative sources and the implementation of VMI.

Individually responsible for the total supply chain with added focus and skills in the following areas:Key Achievements: Responsible for the overall program management, capital acquisition, and installation of capital equipment for the new manufacturing facilities in Reynosa, Mexico. Total acquisition / supply chain management, with an emphasis in sourcing within lower cost and global regions (incl. Singapore, China and Mexico). Strategic domestic and international sourcing of various commodities with the emphasis on machining, processing, raw material, hardware, castings, valves and extrusions. Management of the Purchasing and Supply Chain Team through KPI metrics including Supplier OTD, purchase order execution, inventory reduction, with a specific focus on continuous material cost reduction (PPV).

Managed a team of two Buyers, tasked with improving the performance of the Department and external suppliers. Instigated long term agreement with raw material and forging houses, with the goal of reducing overall aquisition costs.

Through aggresive cost saving initiatives, transformed the Purchasing Department into a "no-cost" function. Changed the buying direction from "functional" to "professional" by the introduction of supplier reduction, quality improvements, vendor development, with the overall goal of reducing total aquisition costs.

Responsibility for the team of buyers in this $490 million turnover business. Called for creative approach to management of suppler relationships. Through the team, managed inventory to meet both efficient stock holding and customer service levels in this highly competive IT distribution business.

Managed a team of 8 buyers of this $33 million turnover internal aerostructures business. Introduced the buying purchasing strategy with the goal of total acquisition cost reduction via vendor reduction and appraisal, introduction of JIT supply agreements. Sourcing of new commodities to support new build programs. Developed a generic purchasing process and subsequent identification of purchasing development needs for the buyers of the entire Chadderton manufacturing site.Other purchasing roles including the aquisition of raw matertial for the Long Bed Machinging facility. Identification and justification of capital equiptment needs and subsequent supplier evaluation, selection and negotiation of contracts.
