After high school graduation in 2011, I was determined to expand my education towards engineering. I have always loved investigating how components behave in spectacular tasks and comprehending the resolve of any malfunction. Even though I was working full time jobs throughout my postgraduate education, my hard work and diligence paid off in 2015 when I obtained my Mechanical Engineering Associate Degree at Beaufort County Community College. Months succeeding my marriage in May of 2017, I decided it was time for a change of workspace; time to learn more, not just another position, but learn more about myself. Some peers of mine had mentioned Hyster-Yale Group was hiring, but I had to go back to school for my Career Readiness Certificate to qualify. I have always loved the challenge of learning something new, so I achieved my certificate and pursued my new job. Hyster-Yale Group is a great company to work for, on account of the substantial benefits, compensation, and care that they have for their employees. At Hyster-Yale Group, I worked as an assembler in the Overhead Guard feeder stations for three and a half years. In 2020, my husband and I were blessed with a breathtakingly beautiful baby girl, the incentive for me to strive for that next promotion. In 2021, I was promoted to Quality Control Technician and controlled quality for Mast Assembly and Fabrication departments for over a year. In August 2022, I transferred to a more challenging production line, analyzing and resolving multiple issues. After much hard work and dedication, I was promoted again in November 2022 to Quality Engineer II over Mast Assembly. In May 2024, I pursued a self-employment opportunity. I am motivated and dedicated to my work and am sure I will bring a positive impact in any role.
