I have 4 years of experience working as a Sign Designer in the Sign Industry. With my degrees from a technical college and an art institute, I have the skills and the eye to achieve a wide range of design solutions for any client. In my time working in the Sign Industry, I have learned the value of design build as well as the reality of final production and installation. In many ways, designing signs is akin to package design in the way it functions within a 3-Dimensional space as well as the materials and structural design itself and the way it lends itself to the design. There have been multiple projects where my skill sets in software and print as well as my efficiency have proven invaluable to the client and the company. I have worked on projects of varying sizes from small local churches to national companies like the Y, Lane Bryant, lululemon athletica, Sephora, and international corporations like Diversey. I have also managed and maintained large scale projects like Associated Bank consisting of many sites with varying needs and restrictions. Knowing and meeting the client’s needs is top priority in any industry, and with signage it becomes a task of not only filling that need but also teaching the client to see that need and how best to fill it. I am proficient in Adobe InDesign, Photoshop, Illustrator, Flash, After Effects, and Dreamweaver with working knowledge of action script, HTML, CSS, Javascript, and PHP. Though it is my extensive technical skills not only in design software but also my experience working directly with print media that sets me apart from many other designers. It is with this knowledge of both design and printing that I can handle any design and translate it into a printed piece.
