I'm a list-maker. I regularly color code, schedule, prioritize, and tactically maneuver through my tasks from week to week. I've been told this is unusual for my outgoing and care-free manner, but I think the duality is explained in the goals I keep. My goals for the day look something like this:1. Enjoy and finish the coffee before it gets cold2. Learn or create something new every day3. Be a positive influence or support for someone4. Put the day's work and energy toward what's important5. Write and check off my other listsThere are always other goals and efforts in each day, but I can lay my head contentedly on my pillow when successful in these ways. While the procedural coffee intake and efforts at positivity are fairly easy to fulfill, the rest of my daily goals typically fall within one category: creative organization. I work very hard for, constantly strive to learn more about, and encourage others within and through creativity. For me, finding unique connections within disciplines, integration of the familiar and new , and adding context to others’ missions are worth a full day's work.Pursuit of these goals has taken several forms for me thus far in my career: teaching K-16, writing multiple forms of curricula, integrating educational methodologies for mass consumption, and mentoring new educators and tutors toward their goals.I've had the good fortune of a satisfying professional career, by bringing creative forms of content to people of all ages. Seeing the spark of independent thought and inspiration in others is what fuels me, in addition to my morning coffee. At this juncture, I am ready to take my most recent research into action, and foster more direct impact to the changes my skills can make in the world.
