About Amanda Bumann
~ For the last 5 years I’ve been fulfilling my childhood dream of working for Disney! It’s everything I thought it would be, and more. Getting to make magic everyday has been like living in a fantasy in so many ways!~ In 2022 I joined the Board of Directors for the non-profit Green Vistas. We are working daily to end veteran homelessness. ~ In 2021 I was selected to be on the Diversity and Inclusion Council at Magic Kingdom. I am excited to share what I’ve learned through my work and travel and help to make Magic Kingdom a truly inclusive place to work and visit. In addition, I am on the D&I council for Engineering Services. I produced, filmed, and edited a video highlighting our cast, and I even played my cello for the background music. It was released company wide. ~ In 2017 I made the decision to give back. I have been very lucky in my life and I decided to help those less fortunate. I embarked on a journey to Asia for 6 months to volunteer and travel. I went to Laos, Cambodia, Thailand, Vietnam, Malaysia, Brunei, and Japan. It was a life changing experience and I have a new found respect for the position I’m in. I continue to volunteer locally, but I’m always looking for ways to give back more.~ In my spare time I hike, kayak, travel, learn languages, ride horse, volunteer and other activities, but the activity I am most passionate about is triathlon. I have competed in two Ironman races, Taiwan, and Ireland, both consisted of a 2.4 miles swim, 112 mile bike, and a 26.2 mile run, in that order. I want to race an Ironman on each continent, and while there is no official race in Antarctica, I will not let that deter me.
Listed skills include Engineering, Solidworks, Project Engineering, Mechanical Engineering, and 30 others.
