Amanda joined Mercer as part of the Mercer Executive Compensation team (now incorporating Kepler Associates). The team is able to draw on a host of resources to support the practice including analytics and pay design and develops strategic thinking & innovation on reward strategies. She is delighted to join a first class reward practice operating in over 130 countries around the world. As a result, the team has pay data at its finger tips on pay and reward levels in the UK and worldwide. She advises companies of all sizes on a range of issues relating to pay and remuneration including advice to Remuneration Committees on structuring executive pay, working with companies on the design and implementation of stock incentives, bonus arrangements and all employee incentives both in the UK and internationally. She also advises on the corporate governance issues relating to remuneration and executive pay including presentation to key stakeholders.Examples of recent work include: a cash based long term incentive for a financial services team; advising on the design and implentation of a suite of share incentives on the IPO of a major retailer; undertaking a benchmarking exercise of executive pay in the healthcare sector; advising a remuneration committee on their awards to executives in the UK and the US.She regularly makes presentations and writes articles on remuneration related topics.

I set up and led the Reward Consulting business at Chiltern plc, an independent tax advisory firm that was part of the Taxand network of independent tax advisors - which merged with BDO in October 2007.I then became Head of Human Capital in the South - the partner leading the Human Capital team of Reward, Employment Tax and Expatriate Tax Experts across the region.

I joined KPMG and worked as one of the first members of the stock plan group and eventually led the group having built it up to a £5m business. I worked on a variety of areas and transactions including a substantial element of international stock incentive plans. I also did a significant amount of transactional work including planning for senior executives and directors.Amanda also undertook a 7 month secondment with HMRC as part of her ‘out of the box’ experience and worked on the structuring of new tax legislation.
