Us

As the UT Extension-Fayette County 4-H agent, I helped local youth build life skills. 4-H encourages diverse groups of youth to develop their unique skills and talents to the fullest potential. Youth participate in 4-H through in-school clubs, special interest groups, after-school programs, camps and many other activities. I grew the county 4-H program from ~200 youth to more than 1,400 through my communication, education, marketing, and outreach efforts.

I completed a Master of Science at Purdue University, and defended my thesis, An Exploratory Study of Client Culture, Meat Perceptions, Social Climate and Information Preferences in Northwest Indiana Food Pantries. My degree area was Youth Development and Agricultural Education, with a concentration on Agricultural Communication. Through work on my thesis and work in the department, I investigated how writing, PR and advertising could be developed to better engage with audiences.
