LGBTQ+ and diversity champion....oh and I do a bit of law on the side....well it pays the bills anyway!The Day Job : I have been a Lawyer in private practice way back since 1996 but it all began in Insurance Claims back in the dim and distant past pre computers in 1989. Liverpool JMU is my alumnus - LLB (Hons) in 1998 - Part Time holding down a job as well! - Also I have been a FCILEx for over 20+ years. Legally I do insurance based work for major corporates / SME's in all classes of general insurance and additionally I've been now over 20 years looking after teams / supervising. I'm pretty IT literate (basic coding / workflow analysis etc) and throw in a Business Studies qualification before my degree and its been an interesting career......so far. My Passion : It took a while but I finally got around to accepting who I really was & thereafter letting the world know. Since then I have become a passionate advocate for LGBTQ+ rights using my experiences to educate / influence both in and outside of my industry. Podcasts, articles, speeches and panels events all form part of my repertoire now. Even a short interview live nonetheless on BBC Worldwide in July 2023...Warholesque in terms of the length of my fame!Currently I find time to additionally do the following....- Lead Director / Trustee of Liverpool City Region Pride Foundation. - Chair of Link Up North - LGBTQ+ network for the insurance industry in the North.
