The Office of Advocacy Relations (OAR) manages the NCI Council of Research Advocates (NCRA), the only federal advisory committee comprised solely of advocate leaders at NCI. NCRA convenes around broad cancer research issues and provides the Director with advice and strategic insights from the community's perspective.NCRA members are selected for their expert knowledge of cancer research and policy, as well as their ability to represent a broad patient perspective.

Mission:To find and accelerate cures for cancers and other diseases by fostering and rewarding a community of collaboration and innovation. We seek to spread awareness, expedite research and kinder treatments, and improve the quality of life for patients and their families.Current Focus:CAVATICA, an open access data analysis and sharing platform designed to accelerate discovery in a scalable, cloud-based compute environment where data, results, and workflows are shared among the world's research community. CAVATICA and its partners continuously seek to find ways to collaborate, share, interoperate, and connect with any and all other data platforms in order to empower data across diseases, ages and geography supporting researchers and patients across the United States and throughout the world.

Improve communication among foundation partners and provide updates on CBTTC scientific projects and discoveries.

I handle all media buys, produce marketing materials, and run special events for the company.

Represented the State of Kansas at national meetings for the National Brain Tumor Society, including their annual Head to the Hill initiative. Additionally, serve as a liaison with the brain tumor community to help them find the services they need.

I was responsible for running 3-4 member events per year, including site selection around the US, coordinating marketing materials prior to event, coordinating vendors for vendor fairs, and making sure the event ran smoothly onsite.
