In my current position as an Admissions Coordinator I am responsible for reviewing referral applications and having open communication with referral sources and parents on where the application stands in order to determine the appropriateness of placement. My communication skills, both oral and written, allow me to be able to identify missing information and address any concerns that we might have. I coordinate with parents, caseworkers, and my team to set up the admission date of the youth to our program. I believe it is important to be organized and attentive to detail, to openly communicate, to be non-judgmental, and have the ability to work with a diverse population.
