•Taught Media Exploratory to grades K-5 and Journalism to grade 7 • Developed a mission and vision statement for our Media Center • Promoted successful book fairs, Scholastic and Barnes and Noble, that brought in over $20,000 in resources for our media center • Instituted The Library Guild, a Media advisory committee made up of community members, teachers, parents, and students • Managed and maintained regular parent volunteers for the media center • Coordinated authentic author visits for lower, middle, and upper grades throughout the school year • Collaborated with Upper School administration and teachers to develop Google Chromebook guidelines for classroom usage • Co-Chair for our school’s Technology Committee • Created Literacy Month, a reading program in conjunction with the ALA National Book Month, that involved the entire school and community in events to promote reading and literacy • Revised our school-wide summer reading program, “Soar with a Good Book” to encourage reading every day • Collaborated with teachers, administrators, parents and students regularly on what are best practices for our media program • Created and maintained a Media website that encouraged parents, teachers, and students to visit and interact regularly • Generated and maintained reports to show the growth of our library resources and the standings of our patrons • Coached the “Battle of the Books” team
