 Organise, regulate and monitor all aspects of the administration of the Mental Health Act within a secure hospital environment and ensure all legal requirements are maintained Organise and facilitate Hospital Managers Meetings, Tribunals, Multi-Disciplinary Patient meetings Maintain all system data and records to ensure all mental health and legal aspects are current and applied correctly Maintain patient records and ward status reports Updating of work manuals and mental health legislation updates Writing reports as and when required

To inform policy and procedures relating to University general regulations and academic award regulations.· To be responsible for the accuracy and quality of information on the student database relating to studentappeals and complaints.· To provide information to students and staff on the processes of appeals, complaints and disciplinaryprocedures.· To be responsible for the management and administration of the student appeals, complaints and disciplinaryprocesses including preparation of responses to the OIA on individual cases.· To provide statistical and analytical information relating to student appeals and complaints.· To provide officer support to assessment review meetings, appeal meetings, complaints hearings anddisciplinary hearings.· To research and draft changes to the University regulations on behalf of the Dean of Students & AcademicRegistrar· To promote best practice across the University in the handling of student appeals and complaints.· To liaise with external bodies and other academic institutions in relation to Staffordshire University appeals,complaints and disciplinary procedures.· To undertake projects in respect of the Student Experience· To be a member of the Academic Registrars Practitioner Group on Appeals and Complaints.· To manage the workload and co-ordinate activities for the Appeals, Complaints and Conduct team

 Writing and delivering induction presentations to students Creating different methods of group communication to students Provision of advice and guidance on regulations, appeals, tuition fees, bursaries and other financial help, award progression and attendance and reporting at various meetings.

 Planning, writing and delivering all aspects of job search training, including soft skill development. Identify areas for service improvement and develop those areas Meet targets set to maintain contract at National level
