Through my previous experiences and attrition, it became apparent how important employee management is during all seasons of a business. The promotion from Supervisor to Manager resulted from my desire to uplift, encourage, and develop my employees so they enjoy their work and share that enjoyment with our guests. From December 2018 - April 2019, I took on added responsibilities as the Interim Director of Front Office.

After Hersha Trust acquired the property in February 2017, Hersha Hospitality Management was transitioned into Pan Pacific Seattle's management company. With the tasks and experiences I upheld during the ownership transition, Hersha Hospitality Management adjusted my job title with the addition of Revenue Analyst, to assist our new Director of Revenue Management.I maintained a majority of my former job duties with the addition of attending revenue meetings in an attempt to understand the Seattle Market.

The Service One Department operates as PBX, Reservations, and Concierge Agents. As the Supervisor, I oversaw 4 employees' daily operations by monitoring the execution of Forbes Reservations Standards, scheduling, performance management, hiring, training and assisting our Revenue Manager. Shortly after starting this position, the hotel owners announced the hotel was for sale. As a result of this announcement, four of our Executive Committee memberspursued other opportunities, including my direct manager, our General Manager, our Director of Human Resources, and our Director of Restaurants, Beverage and Events. During this transition, these positions remained open and I worked closely with our Director of Sales and Marketing to acquire additional operational tasks. These tasks included producing revenue reports, loading corporate rates, and payroll processing. In February 2017, the hotel was successfully purchased by Hersha Trust and I worked closely with the asset management and revenue team in the transition of the hotel.

Looking to gain more experience in the hotel industry, I accepted a position as a front desk agent at a limited service hotel in Stillwater, Oklahoma. During my time as a Front Desk Agent, I also took an interest in learning all aspects of the operation in Housekeeping, Sales, Revenue Management and Night Audit. During my time as a Front Desk Agent, I assisted in the execution of large group reservations such as Oklahoma State University Football Team, Baseball Teams, Special Olympics and the Wine Forum of Oklahoma. I also assisted in pricing strategies for high occupancy time periods such as Mom's Weekend, Football Weekends, Graduation Weekend and Move-In Weekend.

June 1st, 2015 - August 3rd, 2015I was selected as the pilot intern for Waypoint (formerly Advantage Waypoint), a food broker based outside Dallas, Texas. I assisted in representing products from over 20 major brands such as Barilla, Chobani, McCormick, French's, Tyson and more. Throughout a 10 week internship program, I gained knowledge in food brokerage operations by shadowing, attending training sessions for new products, assisting in food shows, warehouse operations and following up with clients. At the culmination of the program, I was able to execute a solo sales call. From age ranges 3 months to 6 years, I assisted in the day and afternoon care of children in a care taking area. I began my time as the preschool afternoon teacher with stimulating outdoor play time and calming activities until parents arrived. I moved over to our 3 year old classroom to assist in their basic learning areas (letters, number, etc). I ended my time at Hope Learning Center caring for our newborn class until I left to pursue further education.
