I am a passionate TV writer and educator committed to the development of comical, captivating, and healing stories for the small screen. A lover of spooky fun, at eight years old I accidentally watched the 1978 horror film "Halloween" instead of the Disney Channel Original Movie "Halloweentown" and got so scared that I threw up! My teachers encouraged me to process my feelings through writing, which kickstarted my love for penning short stories. I chilled my single mom to the bone when I chose to use higher education at Georgetown and Columbia to pursue the *majestically lucrative* fields of education and sociology. Hoping to provide creative and restorative experiences for kids like my teachers did for me, I became a Spanish and social studies teacher. I pull from nine years of experience serving kids of all ages and backgrounds, and television writing training through UCLA Extension, to write stories about characters facing their fears and figuring out who they are, with liberal doses of goofiness.
