Also fulfilling content to the various Electronic Sell Through (EST), Video On Demand (VOD), TV Everywhere and internal .com partners. Ingesting, editing, transcoding and delivery of the content to NBCU’s various external and internal clients is another responsibility as a technician, along with recording, trim and transcode of various live feeds for publication to various Multichannel Video Programming Distributors. Also having an understanding of the many different file types and formats needed for the various clients is the technician’s responsibility. The DMO also uses many proprietary programs (OTTO, MCDS, Mediabroker etc.) to facilitate the creation and delivery of content. As a DMO technician, there is a detailed understanding of how these systems work. The DMO is responsible for Quality Control of assets to ensure content is at highest quality and to the correct spec of respective clients QC before sending out multiple unique assets daily to over 15 different clients.

Broadcast Operator daily duties  monitoring signals on assigned multiple channels transmitted to company subscribers to ensure adherence to company broadcast standards.Media Prep Technician and Librarian duties Coordination with traffic & programming departments for prepping of content to be aired for multiple channels. Content prep for playback includes Ingest/Digitize or conversion of content from various formats in media which Include; tapes, hard drives or delivered over server. Also quality assurance for ratings and subtitling of content. Maintain, organize and manage the flow media in and out of the vault which consist various media such as, Tapes, hard drives and servers.
