Amanda currently serves as the Vice President for Mission Advancement at Make-A-Wish South Carolina. In this role, she oversees the fundraising operations, event, major gifts solicitations and other revenue generating initiatives. Previously, Amanda was the Director of Development for Meals on Wheels Greenville, and led direct mail and special events, as well as grant writing and major gift solicitation. Amanda also served as the Executive Director of The Greenville Zoo Foundation, Amanda lead the fundraising and advocacy programs that support the Greenville Zoo, including the funding for an extensive Master Plan. Amanda served as Area Director of MDA, serving 17 counties in the NC Piedmont Triad and managing various special events and directing new sponsor development opportunities. From 2009 to 2012, as Vice President for Hartsook Companies, Amanda served clients nationwide with capital campaign organization and execution, major gift solicitation strategies and planned gift acquisition. Amanda’s career reflects her passion for helping our community thrive and includes leadership roles at NCCJ, Victory Junction, Girl Scouts, Family Service of the Piedmont and Big Brothers Big Sisters. She has been very active with the Association of Fundraising Professionals, serving as the Board Chair in 2008-2009. Additional roles have included Treasurer, Chair of Diversity, and NC Statewide Conference committee member. Additionally, Amanda served on the AFP International committees for Youth in Philanthropy and the Next Generation. In 2005, Amanda was named AFP NC Triad's Professional Fundraiser of the Year. She served on the AFP International Committee on Directorship in 2010. Amanda is an active volunteer in the Upstate, serving Meals on Wheels Greenville, March of Dimes, and most recently, joined the League of Women Voters of Greenville County as a Board Member. Amanda is also a proud graduate of Leadership Greenville, Class 42. She holds an MPA from the University of North Carolina Greensboro, as well as a BS from Western Carolina University.
