Over 15 years experience working in entertainment, communications and event management with high-profile talent. Currently the Founder and managing director of The Getaway Co.; a company dedicated to the organization of life-changing, fully plant-based holiday and community building experiences around the world.My career began in Toronto at the tender age of 17 when I landed my dream job working for Virgin Music Canada. In this role I had the opportunity to explore the many colorful facets of the music industry (marketing, A&R, publicity, radio promotions), and the experience catapulted me into a 13 year career boosting of some of the world's most talented musical artists across the Canadian media landscape. At 23 and fresh out of University, I moved over to the world's biggest record label, Universal Music, where I worked as a regional radio promotions representative and negotiated our artists' music into the highly coveted slots on Canada's radio airwaves. I worked hand in hand with my roster of stations across Ontario to organize creative promotions and contests, enabling fans to meet their idols and breaking artists like Lady Gaga, Colbie Caillat and Owl City at radio in Canada. I then switched gears and returned to my communication roots as a publicist, planning comprehensive step by step media schedules, instore appearances, award shows, contests and performance appearances for both domestic Canadian talent as well as AAA international talent. Some highlights included various entertainment section covers and national television interviews with Canadian artists like Alanis Morissette, Carly Rae Jepsen and Melanie Fiona as well as international talent like Kendrick Lamar, PSY and who could forget the in-store autograph session hijinks with Enrique Iglesias. Following 13 years in music, I re-located to Zurich, Switzerland as a base in central Europe to travel the world from, to learn a foreign language and take on new and exciting life challenges. In 2018 I founded The Getaway Co., a fully plant-based company that partners with top influencers in the vegan space to create unforgettable cultural experiences in beautiful and inspiring locations around the world.
