Auditing HCC charts previously coded by certified coding professionals. Inputting information onto spreadsheets and reporting accuracy scores. Responsible for educating employees in coding processes, guidelines and changes.

Auditing certified professional coders review of medical records from various sites across the nation on special HCC, HCC RX, CRG, and various other projects, data entry, weekly teleconferences, using ICD-9 codes effectively in efforts to be as specific and compliant as possible. Auditing records including the following departments: Emergency Room, Pediatrics, Operative Reports, and Family Medicine and various other duties as required.

Preparing lesson plans, instructing students in the proper understanding and usage of Medical Terminology and Medical Coding practices, and preparing students for medical coding certification examination through the American Academy of Professional Coders.

Oversaw coding/auditing operations for all Specialty Physicians within PSSI/St John Physicians Group. Coding Specialties Managed: Inpatient, Urgent Care, Hospitalists, ER, Cardiology, Anesthesia, Radiation Oncology, Pediatric Pulmonology, Gastroenterology, Internal Medicine, Neurology, ASC, Family Practice, and Rheumatology and both Inpatient and Outpatient Facilities.

Answering incoming phone calls, fitting patient with various medical equipment, assisting the Medical Biller with all aspects of medical billing, working with patients and Physicians in the local area hospitals and Doctors offices, filling out intake sheets on each patient, serving as cashier, assisting customers within the store, stocking shelves, filing claims, and various other duties as required.
