As a TCM I led a team of dynamic project managers, product managers, and software engineers to execute programs across technology training and our OrangeWorks Innovation Lab. Some of my responsibilities and experiences in this role included:• Supported a team of 8 full time associates and between 10-15 part time interns• Defined team objectives and key results • OrangeWorks Innovation Lab:- Sourced projects that allowed our software engineer interns to build innovative technical solutions to Home Depot business challenges- Conducted research projects on how technology like machine learning, artificial intelligence, computer vision, virtual reality, among others, could support a better customer and associate experience in our stores- Partnered with our User Experience (UX) organization to develop a Design Sprint workshop that taught our interns design thinking, how to develop empathy for their customers, and in the end create a more informed prototype - Created programming that supported a positive learning environment and professional development experiences for our interns, leading to OrangeWorks being a best in class talent pipeline for The Home Depot’s technology organization • OrangeMethod Apprenticeships:- Supported the launch of Home Depot’s first Returnship program , which is a program aimed at bringing in IT professionals who have taken a career pause and refreshing their skills so they can re-enter the workforce - Implemented process improvements to our Software Apprenticeship program by revamping our interview process, performance tracking, and management support for our apprentices
