The Underground Geology Superintendent manages a team of field geologists, and maintains close communication and coordination with the Underground Geotechnical Engineering and Mining teams on site and within Rio Tinto's Copper and Diamond Technical. Responsible for developing, maintaining and improving systems for field data collection, processing, storage, and reporting of the results of the underground data collection. The Underground Geology team is responsible for:• Geologic/geotechnical mapping and data collection in each active lateral and vertical development heading while at the face.• In conjunction with the Geotechnical Engineering team, laser scanning of each heading and processing of the scans back in the office. The combined team is required to report on development quality, rock mass classification and ground support recommendations in a time frame within which the report can inform tactical decisions by the execution team.• Mapping and generation of geologic maps in 3D platform – primarily Maptek’s Vulcan. • Design and implement underground production drill programs. • Logging core from underground drilling campaigns – Log core (quick log or final log) as required from underground drilling activities outside the scope of resource delineation, including hydrology/dewatering holes, cover holes in advance of development, etc. • Muck Sampling and inputs to the Development Rock Stockpile model – Implement the muck sampling program and report assay results from development rounds in a manner that can be applied for development of a stockpile grade and quality model.

• Professional Geologist in the State of Arizona.• Leading onsite Geologist who processes the main types of down-hole geophysical logs collected in all drill holes drilled for the Resolution Project. Types of geophysical logs include Natural Gamma-Caliper-Temperature, Acoustic Borehole Image, and Electrical Logs.
