I took it upon myself to educate myself on grape health, disease, and growth cycles by coordinating with a scout who meets with me weekly to discuss new topics. I am in charge of submitting sugar samples to the lab as harvest approaches, and inputting information into our systems. I have also been tasked with creating the grower contact sheet for the year, and submitting sustainability certifications as well as pesticide use reports for all contracts in my district. This job has allowed me to familiarize myself with the wine industry and production processes. It utilizes my skills with Microsoft Word and Microsoft Excel while also helping me develop professional environment skills and hone in on time management and organization.
