Canada Bay Club in Sydney’s Inner West has been a meeting place for the local community for more than 50 years. Since opening in 1966, the culturally diverse club has grown from a small social sports centre to a club with state-of-the-art function rooms, two restaurants, live entertainment, kids’ arcade, and health and fitness classes for its 20,000+ members. As a champion of the Inner West’s local community, Canada Bay Club supports schools, sporting associations, charities and community groups through its grant program. Responsibilities:Review, analyse, co-ordinate & implement systems, procedures and documents relevant to current HR practice including:o Performance managemento Recruitment and retentiono Salary packaging, employment contracts, conditions and disputeso Counselling and coachingo Influencing and negotiatingo Risk Managemento Workforce planning/building talent pipelineso Developing and communicating HR and Industrial Relations policieso Providing advice on employee relations matters - facilitating issues from end to endo Monitor and manage compliance and process around Work, health and safetyo Design, deliver and implement strategic HR projects, management and reviewTraining and Recruitment Focus:o Develop annual training plan in accordance with strategic goals/budget.o Design, deliver, assess and monitor training strategies in line with business and key stakeholder objectives, legislation and compliance criteria, manage/monitor the delivery of accredited (VET programs).o Review, analyse and co-ordinate systems, procedures, programs and documents (including policies, procedures, compliance audits) relevant to managing the L and D function and enhancing organisational capability.o Regular reporting, forecasting and recommendations based on analyses of outcomes.o Mentor/coach trainee managers in leadership, business acumen, project management & strategic thinking.
