As an Innovation Advisor, I support clients in aligning innovation investments with future visions for change, especially within global food and agriculture systems. I lead a multi-year, multi-partner initiative to advance a global philanthropic donor's ability to sustainably track progress and use evidence to adaptively manage programming. I also provide market systems and business model innovation support for RTI Innovation Advisor's sustainability practice.

• Served as Innovation Partner lead in support of The Rockefeller Foundation's YieldWise initiative, a $130 initiative to halve post harvest food loss in Sub-Saharan Africa; in this role, provide range of advisory, research, and design support to YieldWise Implementing Partners in pursuit of high-level agricultural development goals• Served as a lead designer and facilitator of an 18-month Social Innovation Lab process in support of The Rockefeller Foundation's Waste and Spoilage Initiative, the YieldWise precursor; in this role, designed and implemented a multi-phase inquiry into high potential innovations for reducing post harvest loss• Trained multi-disciplinary stakeholders in a range of collaborative innovation and creative problem solving skills, including problem formulation, solution formulation, and solution implementation • Facilitated multi-stakeholder processes for creating shared visions for problem solving, crafting action plans, and building networks aimed at tackling major agricultural development and other global problems• Supported science, technology, and innovation policy review, research, and analysis • Contributed to the organization’s broad objectives of outreach, coalition building, and business development

• Prepared briefings, and coordinated high-level meetings for department leadership, including the Secretary of State, the Administrator of USAID, and Special Envoys• Collaborated with the Chief Operating Office of USAID to expand and integrate the Office of the STAS into the Agency’s operations• Represented the STAS on interagency sub-policy coordinating committees for global food security and international development• Supported scientific engagement with Iran, including planning technical workshops, drafting policy recommendations, and organizing internal informational meetings

• Completed case study on use of information technologies for health in developing nations through the evaluation of the EpiSurveyor program in the Kenya Ministry of Health• Designed analytical framework and comprehensive user survey used to complete field research in Nairobi and Mombasa, Kenya

• Conducted research and developed briefing and event materials on scientific and technical issues relating to international security and health, such as nuclear proliferation and bioterrorism• Provided support for science diplomacy efforts with countries such as Iran, Kazakhstan, and Turkey
