Oversaw a team of 17 consisting of Leasing, Legal, Controlling, Store Design, Construction, and Facilities departments. Responsible for H&M and COS expansion and portfolio management across Australia and New Zealand, representing approximately 60 stores and a long term potential of 100+ stores. Ensured the best possible deals through KPI follow up, negotiations, and general salesmanship. Focused on driving the team’s analysis and strategic thinking on dealmaking. Maintained strong relationships across the industry including REITs, independent landlords, and other retail tenants. Exclusively responsible for the national expansion and portfolio management of two retail tenants:• Shoppers World (average 4000 square meters) expansion from 10 to 40 stores in markets across the country;• XSRE (average 800 square meters) aid in conception and launch of the brand, including expansion and overall business P&L.Created overall growth strategy for the brands, performed site specific analyses, and recommended locations and P&Ls directly to the founders of the company. Negotiated all aspects of lease agreements, coordinated store buildout, and provided post-opening followup analysis. Cultivated and maintained ongoing relationships with all the largest retail real estate landlords nationwide.Simultaneous to the above, also responsible for leasing and managing over 900,000 square meters of retail holdings, including sourcing new tenants, negotiating economics and business terms, presenting deals to the board for approval, and managing tenant relationships throughout the lease term.
