Amanda’s insatiable curiosity for unearthing what drives us as humans, and what technology human’s drive, has led her to spend the last 15 years at the intersection of brand storytelling and innovation for corporations and causes.As a problem solver, a brand strategist, and a communicator she creates experiences that connect organizations with the people they serve. She has worked in a leadership capacity to drive all stages of business growth, from advising startups on naming, branding, and securing PR, to developing global strategies for established organizations to redefine themselves in the face of cultural, technological, and competitive progress, to raising funds and awareness for causes that she believes in.Her experience has been built on the shoulders of talented interdisciplinary teams at top-tired creative, research, and strategy agencies, as well as intimate relationships with the technologists, product developers, and scientists she works with to identify what is coming next and how to harness it. Amanda’s clients include both category-creating start-ups such as Synthesis, Verto and Agentis Capital as well as Fortune 500 companies such as Nordstrom, Volkswagen, and McDonald’s. Her passion projects include championing community engagement and advocacy programs for impact organizations such as Acumen, Gasland and Vancouver Opera. Most recently, she founded The Giving Generation, a charity that facilitates programs in schools for students to learn about and experience conscious giving.A graduate of Singularity University’s Executive Program, Amanda is enamoured with technological progress and innovation. Upon returning from SU, Amanda founded and scaled DDB Canada's brand accelerator program, DDB Ignite, to put the expertise of great storytellers behind the ideas of disruptive startups.She passes forward the mentorship she has received by lecturing at Emily Carr, UBC and UVic and by being an active advisor to progressive startups, non-profits and charities.
