Amanda's personal mission is to change the lives of disadvantaged youth in Indonesia by empowering them with technology and innovation skills. She combines her passion and 10 years experience in technology, social development, and entrepreneurship to achieve her mission.Amanda started her career as a programmer for a number of IT companies in Australia. Her entrepreneurial journey began in 2011 as a co-founder of Kolibrii Commerce, a leading e-commerce consultancy firm, with clients such as Mitra Adi Perkasa, Sumitomo Corporation, Cisco, Astra Honda Motor, Bosch and Amway.In early 2017, Amanda co-founded Markoding (Yayasan Daya Kreasi Anak Bangsa), a non-profit organisation with a mission to teach coding to youth in marginalised areas in Indonesia. The organisation was selected as a finalist of the MIT Solve Challenge: Youth, Skills and the Workforce of the Future and represented Indonesia at the ASEAN-UNICEF Conference on 21st Century Skills and Young People's Participation in Singapore. Markoding is now an implementing partner of UNICEF Indonesia. Earlier this year, Amanda became a co-founder and the Chief of Evolution at Impact Byte, a technology education company that provides coding bootcamps and corporate training programmes. In two years, Impact Byte has acquired more than 150 hiring partners and achieved 92 per cent employment rates for its 200 graduates who were hired at notable companies such as Tokopedia, KEB Hana Bank, OVO, and Kumparan.To empower more youth and to scale the impact exponentially, Amanda now leads the team to build Skilvul, an online vocational training and certification platform. She envisions Markoding, Impact Byte, and Skilvul to close the technology skills gap and stop youth unemployment crisis by creating a generation of job-ready digital workforce.She graduated from Curtin University of Technology in Western Australia with a Computer Science degree.
