About Amanda Brown

In her past commercial role at RWE Supply & Trading Americas, Amanda was responsible for identifying, qualifying, securing, negotiating, and executing Power Purchase Agreements (PPAs) for RWE’s development assets, focusing on Utilities, Municipalities, Cooperatives, Retailers/Load-Serving Entities, and Corporate and Industrial (C&I) Offtakers.In Amanda's past regulatory & policy roles, she represented the renewable energy industry, including energy storage, at the ISOs, PUCs, Energy Commissions, Legislatures, and other organizations that influence and impact renewable and energy storage policy. She advocated for and participated in the creation and implementation of policies and protocols that support utility-scale adoption of renewables & energy storage and promoted the growth of this energy sector. Prior to joining Xtreme Power, Amanda served as Regulatory Compliance Manager for E.ON Climate and Renewables North America, where she managed the company’s North American operating asset fleet of 1,800MW of renewable energy. She implemented E.ONs NERC Compliance Program, managed Regulatory Audits, monitored FERC rulemakings and advised senior management on subsequent policy activities. Amanda holds a double Major BA in Pre-Law and English Lit at the University of Texas- Austin, and a MA in Political Science and Legal Studies from Texas State University.Specialties: ISO Regulatory and Market policy experience, FERC & NERC Compliance Standard Management, Regional compliance TRE & PJM’s RFC; Financial Reporting of generation & revenue to FERC, PUCT & the DOE- EIA 860 & 923, Contract Management (PPA & PSA), Renewable Energy Contracts including registering the facilities as renewable generators & handling the accounts and process of transferring the REC’s to buyers in ERCOT & PJM; Past active member in the Emerging Technologies Working Group in ERCOT.
