In the Science Communication, Synthesis, and Decision Support Unit at the Delta Science Program, I translated complex scientific information into a form that is readily understood by non-scientists, including decision-makers, Bay-Delta stakeholders, and the general public. I did this through avenues like social media, monthly reports to the Delta.

The team project involved using remote sensing data (NASA Earth Observations) to assess spatial, temporal, and social disparities in air pollution in the state of California, with a focus on the San Francisco Bay, San Joaquin Valley, and South Coast air basins.

I assisted in developing the Biology chapter of the Pacific Herring Fisheries Management Plan for California. This report will be utilized by the California Department of Fish and Wildlife to manage the species in the state.

I assisted in establishing a long term monitoring project, which utilizes stereo video to survey marine fish communities at several sites along the coast of California. I modeled and mapped habitat suitability for two fish species using ArcGIS and R. I developed a project protocol for future data collection.In addition, I processed video data and produced.

I assisted with the instruction of three courses (Marine Fish Ecology; Science, Management, and Policy in the Marine Environment; Scientific Diving). This involved leading labs/discussion sections, helping students with class projects, proctoring exams, grading all exams and quizzes, keeping records of grades, and holding weekly office hours.
