Current:- Proven track record building large-scale, distributed, long-term systems from scratch. Currently, building a world class real-time telemetry system that teams across Microsoft rely on to ensure proper service monitoring and health.- Supporting a team of highly capable engineers responsible for foundational observability work within the metrics infrastructure organization at Microsoft, providing technical guidance, mentoring to the engineers on the team and a big advocate for the team’s technical interests and needs.- Hands-on technical management experience managing software engineering teams, managing the best software engineers in the world, including helping to hire and grow the team along with supporting performance management process to recognize high performance and support those who are struggling.- Experience developing strong relationships and work cross-functionally with many partners across organizations and functions, and as a result, increase the impact of the team’s work. Working with many cross functional partners and managing programs that require management team support and buy-in.- Working closely with engineering leaders across the company to help them prioritize monitoring in their products and drive adoption of the systems the team builds.Past:- Working on a high scale, high availability, distributed infrastructure for a near real-time data platform which provides monitoring and analytics across core business units such as Windows, Xbox, Office, etc. Infrastructure services processes in excess of 20 million EPS while running user authored streaming queries, metadata driven aggregations, alerting, logical modeling, etc., Over 1/2 billion streams flows into a hyperscale time series database for querying from simple dash-boarding to ML base analysis of anomaly detection. 10+ gigabyte/sec of data flows into the real-time full text search for analysis and debug flows.
