I am a freshman at the Kelley School of Business in Indiana University Bloomington, majoring in Finance and a co-major in Economics. I have always been an avid learner and ambitious individual. I have an affinity for solving complex problems, taking up challenges and leading tasks. It is because of this problem-solving proclivity of mine, that I took on numerous challenging tasks. I participated in several Model United Nations which increased my spontaneity, diplomacy and research skills. It also helped me work on my communication and collaborative problem-solving skills, because I went on to win the Best Delegate Award in two of them. I have been also working with the Alpha Urbane Project, and was part of the Logistics and Project Management departments. Studying at this reputable university, I have understood that there is competition everywhere, and to succeed one must stand out. In order to be unique, I aspire to join diverse student organisations, like the 180 Degrees Consulting group. These will not only help me achieve my professional goals, but will also serve as a medium for me to network and get to know about new people and their lives. And, to achieve all this, I believe I have discipline and most importantly, time management. The ability to manage time is the ability to manage life, and I don't want to take advantage of any opportunity given to me. I intend to pursue a career in finance and Investment management and know that I can generate good value for my firm.
