Detroit Art Week, produced by Olu & Company, is an annual celebration of contemporary art and culture in Detroit. For five days, DAW invites visitors and residents to attend exhibitions, studio visits, performances, panel discussions, and various special programs, alongside the parties, music, nightlife, and culinary experiences that make Detroit an exceptional city. With a vision to help establish Detroit as a global destination for contemporary art and culture, we promote Detroit artists, galleries, and cultural institutions worldwide. In doing so, we aim to create a space for dialogue, inspire art practitioners and professionals, help stimulate the local art economy and small businesses, and show everyone a good time.DAW is a 501c3 charitable organization registered in Michigan.

– Partner with art-based companies to produce over 30 large-scale exhibitions of emerging photo-based art. Past partners: Philips de Pury & Company, TASCHEN, Phaidon, NADA, Magenta Foundation, Hasted Kraeutler and Next Art Fair, among others– Curate and manage the production of "The Collector’s Guide to New Art Photography Vol. 1 and 2," which has published the work of over 250 emerging artists– Manage the New Photography Grant initiative, which has awarded over ten grants to emerging photographers since 2007– Produce online, solo and group exhibitions of new photography, which has exhibited over 2,000 new artists works– Manage and develop vision for Humble Arts Foundation’s blog– Develop vision, operational and strategic plan to guide organization– Work with the Board (Finance Committee) to prepare comprehensive budgets– Research funding sources, oversee the development of fund raising plans and write funding proposals to increase the funds of the organization– Design all web, publication and printed materials

– Curated and organized exhibitions, including the "Young Curators, New Ideas" annual series, which has presented over 44 exhibitions since 2008. Supported include artists: Adam Curtis, Jeffrey Vallance, Jerry Kearn, Talia Chetrit, A.K. Burns, Brian Bress, Michele Abeles, Ben Schumacher, Bryan Zanisnik, AIDS-3D, Van Hanos, Arthur Ou, Ellen Jong, Bryan Graf, Adam Parker Smith and Jennifer Marman & Daniel Borins, among others. Past partners include: Savannah College of Art and Design, P•P•O•W, Mixed Greens, Dumbo Arts Center, Bose Pacia and Meulensteen– Contribute text to publications and exhibition catalogs. – Worked closely with the editor-in-chief to develop new, audience-engaging editorial content– Worked closely with the founder to define overall strategic marketing initiatives and business solutions, including social media strategy, consumer engagement, and added value propositions for advertising partners – Oversaw editorial–covering art, fashion, design, and luxury lifestyle items that are posted 3–5 per day– Managed a team of over twenty regular freelance writers and photographers from cities such as New York, Los Angeles, London, and Paris– Managed a team of three interns who assist with writing, production, and social media implementation– Oversaw overall production of daily content– Designed weekly email blast– Provided curatorial advice on special projects– Assisted with art direction of the website
