Now that the world has taken notice of the importance of healthy eating and the advantages of plant based diets, the availability of quality and sustainable seeds and improved plant varieties is front and center. As a skilled Plant Breeding Graduate Student, I recognize the need for innovation and have been applying my broad research and academic experience to vegetable genetics and cultivation. I am adept at in-field and greenhouse phenotype data collection, fruit quality evaluation and biochemical assays, disease progression statistics, field irrigation, and crop growth monitoring, as well as data visualization and analysis, pre-breeding skills with R programming, and chemometric work using MATLAB and JMP and many other techniques that aid my international and cross-cultural plant breeding experiences.
