I was a resident assistant to freshmen at the University of Delaware. I lived among them, served as a mentor, and facilitated community and open communication by initiating social gatherings, outreach, and honest communication when necessary. I met individually with each resident several times over the semester to ensure their success and offered them the opportunity to further understand the college experience and the many possibilities that are open to them. I also worked to ensure their safety by informing them of university policies and safety measures in place to protect them. It was a lovely position and it challenged me to do more to foster community within the university as a whole by starting with my own.

I recorded and uploaded all of the shows produced for the Student Television Network. I also ensured each show ran smoothly by making sure the audio, lighting, cameras, and any other aspects were fully functional, among other things.

I worked as patron services staff at the Interlochen Center for the Arts. I helped to manage the patrons as they entered various venues for different events and concerts. I enforced the rules and kept everyone safe and orderly as they enjoyed their shows. It is a very customer-service oriented role, the patrons always come first. It was certainly a challenge but I loved what I did. This was a seasonal internship.
