Community Transport Lead
Current• Pioneered and implemented a novel program to bolster support for non-profit groups providing community transport services across the Waikato. • Facilitated quarterly forums and a tri-annual national Symposium to foster collaboration within the sector and advocate for the sector's interests with government bodies.• Provided comprehensive tools and resources to assist groups in self-governance, encompassing health and safety policies, training programs, recruitment, and various operational facets.• Developed a robust framework for the distribution of $200,000 in annual grant funding, ensuring compliance with legislative requirements. Following the success of the first year of funding, this grant pool was increased to $300,000 per annum. • Crafted a comprehensive framework, policy, application and funding agreement. • Presented to council committees for endorsement, executed two funding rounds to date, and designed and managed an accountability reporting process.• Served as a team lead, supporting both workload and professional development. • Provided assistance to colleagues, particularly within the Road Safety and Accessible Transport programs at WRC.
