During the past several years, I’ve taken courses in entrepreneurship, media and marketing which have taught me a lot about advertising, as well as business strategies. My work experience as a technology consultant and a teacher/coach has also taught me valuable lessons. I understand how to lead as well as contribute to a team effort. And during this digital age, it is also key to excel in technology and social media, two areas that are key to the world of advertising.Some of the important lessons that I have taken away from my lectures are that in order for any type of business to thrive, you must always clearly identify your target audience, listen to the customers’ suggestions, and really cater to their needs and desires. I consider these steps to be the foundation of any good advertising or marketing strategy regardless of your company, service or product. Your customers are your main supporters and to be able to efficiently gather valuable information from them gives you the competitive advantage in the advertising and marketing industry.
