I have started my journey in furniture industry from scratch, having graduated in Electronics and Instrumentation Engineering it was not an easy task for me. I joined as Production Executive in an Export house Jodhpur and there i learned my basics. I learned about various wood, their characteristics, and also learned how a raw wood is processed from different machines, fabricated and is used to make different wooden items such as case goods, chairs. dining tables, Beds etc. I made my self learned about different machines which are used in this industry. At initial stage i was the bridge between different departments from wood issue to final and was responsible to fulfill all the gaps and make coordination among them. Gradually i was taking care of the production and was responsible for the inhouse team management. I look after the wood requirement and procurement. I was responsible for the quality assurance for the products and took care of the inspections done internally and doing corrective action and CAPA measures for any issue found. I was responsible for the sourcing and quality management of the Marbles and metals with different vendors and there i enhanced my knowledge towards different type of Marbles/Metals/Granite etc.I made good relation with all the vendors and learned about vendor management skills. I worked with different Premium buyers as Ashley Furniture team/ Straight to Source/ We source/Richmond/ Rooms to go/Living Space/ PAN emirates and many more, had communication with them and updated them with their production queries. I made sure that all the quality standard were meet as per the buyers requirement. I made sure to work with QMS and followed ISO principles. I was responsible for sourcing, development and quality management. I was responsible for the Sample review and production review. I managed QC team and provided guidelines related to quality. I took weekly meetings and introduced methods of improving production with quality. Initially I had some difficulties, however, I was in good hands and i got supported from them and I learned from them. I was responsible for testing inhouse such as drop test, regulatory test, performance test, physical test etc.This is a small gist of my journey from scratch.. there are lots more to learn and many more heights reach. I believe that i have not learned enough. I want to keep my journey of learning going as there are many sectors to be explored. I believe myself as a leader a learner a explorer..
