I am an enthusiastic self starter with a wide array of knowledge in accountancy. I currently have a full time position as an accounts assistant at Abel & Cole organic grocers and have a range of duties such as raising/issuing invoices to clients, matching POs with sales invoices to ensure we get paid, managing client reports on a weekly basis to ensure we have enough funding, using D365 to input data for management accounts at year end, posting journal entries for accruals, prepayments and depreciation, plus any other administration duties required. Working at Abel & Cole has taught me the importance of attention to detail and the value of working in a small team. It has also enhanced my social skills like using effective communication skills to explain excel spreadsheets and budgets to non finance professionals such as stakeholders and sales managers. My AAT and day to day work have taught me fundamental basics of accounting such as using sage and Xero, Microsoft Excel, accounting for inventory, using double entry to create a trial balance, bank reconciliations, processing sales invoices to sales daybook ledgers and processing purchase invoices to purchase daybook ledgers. I am also an advanced user of excel. Creating pivot tables, using V-Lookup, creating bar graphs to analyse data and much more. The next part of my career involves further enhancing my knowledge of accounts by pursing ACCA fully qualified status starting at the applied skills level.
