Amara is a commercial litigation partner in the Los Angeles office of White & Case, and a member of the Firm’s Global Technology Interest Group. She represents technology clients throughout the world in high-stakes litigation and regulatory disputes. She has worked on matters before the world’s highest courts and has substantial experience in matters involving content moderation, intermediary liability, defamation, consumer protection, privacy and data protection, advertising, and elections. She regularly advises technology companies on compliance with U.S. and international laws and regulations concerning these same issues, and advises legal, policy, product, marketing, sales, and communications teams from the early stages of product development through launch. Amara also has extensive experience advising on terms of service, privacy policies, and other disclosures. Amara helps lead a team that handles international civil litigation for Meta Platforms and other leading tech companies around the globe, with a focus on complex litigation in EMEA and APAC. She has also been seconded as litigation, content, and compliance counsel for Meta in London, Los Angeles, Paris, and Washington, D.C.
