The first part of the project consisted of a content analysis of four Disney Channel television shows to discover the presence of racial stereotyping utilizing the Mammy, Sapphire, and Jezebel archetypes of black women in media. The second part consisted of interviews with adult-aged black women to determine the effect of viewing such stereotyping on self-esteem. My research on this project resulted in a perfect score on the AP Research exam.
