I grew up in a small remote village in the state of Haryana(India) I studied at Delhi University gaining BCom, DPE, PGDPM, LLB, MSW. As a natural athlete, I played at state and university & national level in Basketball, Handball, Volleyball, Swimming and Athletics.I started my career in India working in HR within the Manufacturing, Print Media and Hotel & Hospitality industries. In 1994 I moved to UK where I began working as a Project Manager for Kent County Council helping to set up ‘The Parent’s Consortium’ and develop services for children with disabilities and their families.Having successfully developed ‘The Parents Consortium’ and continuing to support the projects full time, I also set up I-B School in Rohtak near Delhi, India in 1999. The school grew considerably over the years and currently provides education for approximately 1500 children and employment to over 100 staff. Many of those school places are free to those who have limited or no access to funding towards their education. The school is managed by IB Education Society.In 2003, having worked with children and families for a number of years, I set up Vision Fostering Agency Ltd (later known as Capstone Vision). I also set up Sevenark, Avantus Ltd, Active Tutors Ltd and Vision Care Services Ltd in the UK. For many years, my closest colleague and I mooted the idea of starting a UK based charity with global ambitions. It was never a matter of ‘if’ but always a matter of ‘when’ considering the significant effort, time and finance required. In 2013 it was decided that the time was right for me to focus solely on it’s development over the next two years and Ukindo was born. We are now operational and providing services to a growing number of children in the UK & India.I am now also the Managing Director of UK Fostering and Director of Roundark Ltd both of which supports Charity World.
