• Helped the production assistant run scripts using a new computer system program called OPUS. • Reviewed and edited all the stories to ensure that they were clean and precise before I handed them to each anchor. • After I was done running scripts for the day, I would resume my job as a production intern.

We put together a thirty minute weekly newscast that aired online and on a basic cable channel. I produced news packages that I filmed, edited, and wrote. During the show each student had the choice of being an anchor, producer, assistant producer, editor, writer, camera operator, and teleprompter technician. I fulfilled all of these positions during the course of the semester.

Wrote/anchored current and newsworthy business stories for a five-minute segment. I also wrote general news stories for a 30-minute broadcast.
